Cusack plays Ivan Alexeev, the 'brains' behind the operation in the dynamic duo that is played by Cusack and Tim Robbins. Robbins and Cusack are the driving force behind this comedy that is very silly, with little substance.

It is charming, yet lacking in many areas. The two are struggling music video producers. The two have no choice but to take odd jobs, like a commercial for a chicken joint or a stint with a video will.

They finally get their shot through The Swanky Modes, a Fifties soul group. The music is actually another redeeming quality of the movie. Cusack and Robbins certainly have a wonderful comedic chemistry and are a delight to behold. Had the movie had more of a storyline, it'd truly be a success, on all accounts.
